Karin Welsh

A Pacific Northwest Native, Karin lives and operates NW Biz Assist out of her home office in Astoria, Oregon.   

She has accumulated 15 plus years of professional administrative experience working for a variety of industries.  She began developing her administrative skills as a full-time desktop publisher for a non-profit corporation in Portland, OR.  Karin subsequently joined Pacific Power and broadened her administrative capabilities supporting a department of 40.  Building on years of practical knowledge, Karin then experienced marketing first hand at Nike as a project/operations manager managing a multi-million dollar budget and assisting with the creation and promotion of Nike regional marketing campaigns throughout the U.S .  Karin's other positions at Nike included supporting the Outdoor Footwear division and as an administrative assistant for Nike executives.

Realizing the importance of education and experience, Karin returned to school and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Linfield College.   It was not long after finishing school that Karin moved to Texas and obtained a position as an academic advisor for the University of Texas El Paso.  After starting a family and taking some time off, she managed the office of an education consultant in Boise, Idaho handling a range of tasks from Bookkeeping to developing training materials.

Born into a farming family, she understands hard work and responsibility.   She’s passionate about her work and having her own business, allowing her to apply the skills that have been acquired over the years and have the valuable time needed to enjoy her family.
